The Cascade mountain range is a large range of mountains that runs north and south from California to British Columbia and provides a bulwark against the wet weather of the Pacific coast.  As a consequence, the eastern regions have a flora that, to a large extent, is very different from that of the western counterparts. Within this range, the North Cascade Mountains extend from Ellensberg in Central Washington State to Lytton in Southern British Columbia.  This presentation centres on the eastern slopes and peaks within this region.
