Ben Stormes: Collecting for the New Pacific Slope Garden

Join Ben Stormes and hear about the developement of the newest collection space at UBC Botanical Garden, the Pacific Slope Garden.

Ben Stormes is the Curator & Horticulturist for the North American Gardens at UBC Botanical Garden. In this role, he oversees the gardens Carolinian Forest Garden, The Garry Oak Meadow Garden, The Pacific Slope Garden, and The BC Rainforest Garden. He has been with the garden since the summer of 2016, and on the Board of Directors for the Alpine Garden Club of BC since 2021. Ben has worked with a number of botanical gardens within Canada, as well as municipal arboriculture, public outreach and education programming, and private sector horticulture. A keen gardener from a young age, Ben always has some dirt under his nails, no matter how hard he scrubs.
