Jim Lawrence: Birds, Bears and Blossoms: Kootenay Gardening

Date: 7:00pm-8:30pm, Apr 14, 2021

A ZOOM presentation by AGC-BC member and professional photographer,  Jim Lawrence .

Jim caught the rock gardening bug while volunteering at the Denver Botanical Rock Garden with the counselling of Panayoti Kelaidis.  During an extended stay in Colorado, Jim and Patricia developed a rock garden at their mountain home in Jamestown Colorado where a coolish micro climate was kind to some hard to please plants such as Meconopsis betonicifolia and assorted gentians. Upon return to their home in the West Kootenay of British Columbia Jim continued to pursue his old passion for wildlife photography (https://kootenayreflections.com) but admits that in recent years he is capitulating to the thrill, appreciation, and admiration of  blossoms in a rock garden.
