| The Bulletin is published four times a year with information on club activities and articles on a wide range of aspects of plants in the wild and in cultivation. The Seed Exchange is an exchange of seeds collected by our members worldwide in cultivation and in the wild. Approximately 1500 varieties, many rare, are published in the seed list in November, from which non-donors are entitled to 30 packets of seeds and donors to 60 packets of seeds, with priority given to donors. The Club subscribes to seed collecting expeditions to mountain regions overseas. Further seeds are for sale at meetings, particularly early in the year. | ![]() Dryas octopetala photo - Alan Tracey |
| The Library is a collection of books and periodicals specifically oriented to our club membership. This library is only available at our monthly meetings and books can be taken out from month to month by members only. Field Trips take place on summer weekends and offer alpine novices the opportunity to experience the knowledge and devotion of the serious alpine enthusiasts. Both day and weekend trips are organized. Open Gardens are a great way to see the variety of growing techniques and garden styles other enthusiasts use. There are usually two or three gardens in close proximity open per Sunday afternoon, for several Sundays in the spring and occasionally in the fall. This is an unmatchable learning experience. Plant Sales offer sale volunteers the opportunity to shop ahead for the choicest plants available. | |
