ALPINE GARDEN CLUB Shows & Sales
The Spring Show & Sale at the Floral Hall, VanDusen Botanical Garden, 37th & Oak Street, Vancouver, BC, presents competitive exhibits illustrating all the classes of plants our members grow: alpine and woodland plants from four continents, bog plants, dwarf shrubs and conifers, bonsai, primulas in variety, and miniature trough gardens suited to the smallest patio.
Some plants are easy to grow, others represent years of skilled cultivation and include a few that even the experts may have not seen before.
The Spring Show & Sale is open to the public. Seeds and plants will be available for sale.
We invite growers from all over BC specializing in alpines, woodland and native plants, rare shrubs, trees and other plants of interest to our members. In addition, many of our members sell plants they have grown from exchange seed or have propagated themselves.
These sales present an opportunity in Vancouver to acquire plants that may not be in commercial production. The purpose of these sales is to bring these uncommon plants to our members and the public.
